Through YOUR participation, BY TELLING YOUR FRIENDS from here on, we hope to EDUCATE the American People on the IMPORTANCE and the UTILITY of GAINING MORE FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY by taking the time to STUDY each candidate and then BY VOTING HERE ON THE INTERNET.  Eventually, after we have learned to INFLUENCE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS by VOTING on the INTERNET, eventually, we HOPE and PRAY that the American People will Demand MORE VOTING and not for only PEOPLE but for the REAL SOLUTIONS to OUR EVERYDAY PROBLEMS.

RIGHT NOW, our efforts may appear as a WEB 2.0 COMMUNITY ADVENTURE only, but in the NEAR FUTURE, we hope to attract enough of the American People to this NOTION of VOTING on the INTERNET, that it will become a REALITY, and not a REALITY TV SHOW, but a REALITY for the Political Survival of this the GREATEST NATION ON EARTH.

EXAMPLES ONLY:  Don't rush to the polls to vote on these issues.  We do NOT yet have the right to vote on National Initiatives like these.  We do have the right to vote on State Initiatives in 22 of the states, but NOT for Federal Laws.

The Twenty Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution:

N.B.M.A. The National Ballot Measure Amendment

Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

You must ask yourselves why is this power not already granted to the People of the United States when twenty two states use this same process to settle issues that effect their individual states? If the process of Initiatives and Referenda are useful in twenty two states, why would it not be useful on the Federal Level? And more importantly, you must ask yourselves why the greatest level of leadership in this land has not recommended it to you before now? The answer to that question is simple. They want to keep the power over your fate where it rests now, in their hands and in their hands solely. If it were not, bribery would be a thing of the past, their multi-million dollar pensions might be in jeopardy if we the people didn’t think we needed them so much.

And why not give the American people this true measure of democracy now? We can much more easily and quickly VOTE ON THE INTERNET.  Don't listen to their lies about SECURITY.  The results of an Internet Election can be LOCKED DOWN beyond any system they now have for us to use.  In the last Presidential Election millions of votes are still in doubt because the voting machines may have been compromised by a company that donated millions of dollars to the REPUBLICAN PARTY.  THE INTERNET is too big and too redundant to be overpowered by any single group.  Integrity and Security is coded into the basic design of the Internet.  It was created to be used in case of WORLD WAR THREE and is a network of computers so vast that even if the ENEMY destroyed the vast majority of this country, the INTERNET IS DESIGNED TO KEEP FUNCTIONING.  It is the MOST SECURE of any invention in the history of the world.  

If the founding fathers were creating the national system of democracy, today, with the technology at hand, they would most assuredly put all of the power of freedom to use and not just the puny engine of democracy that you still have now. They could not do so in their day because they had no knowledge that such a system of telecommunications and transportation would ever exist. In their day, there weren’t even any paved roads anywhere, just the mud streets that horses could travel. All of the nations goods were transported by horseback and carriage and all of the nation’s best ideas were transported by horses too. And so, in this way, democracy was born.’

‘Today, it comes of age. By working for the Twenty-Eighth Amendment, the National Initiative and Referendum Amendment, you will be doing God’s work because I am Freedom as I have said. I have given you more and more freedom over the generations and you have used it wisely, by and large. Freedom cannot be taken lightly, however, and the responsibilities are huge. You must become better educated on the issues and on the history and the ecology of our planet. You must be willing to spend a portion of your day discussing these most important issues confidently and patiently, until you know in your hearts that you have all the information to make the best decisions.’

‘And you must not rest until this is done. You must tell everyone you know. You must make copies of my words and let all the others read them and you must debate them first. When you are all convinced that I am right, you must take action by forcing this amendment on your government for they will not pas it for you easily. They will resist the will for more democracy even though they are sworn to serve you, the majority of people, they don’t believe that giving you the power to make decisions is in your best interest, but this is colored by their own desire for their own best interests. You must not let them prevail.’

‘The power of this great nation is vested in the power of the people after all. At the end of the day, you have your greatest minds to rely on who have given you the power to change your government at any time as you please.’

‘Abraham Lincoln said that you are “A nation, of the people, by the people and for the people.” The Constitution gives you the right to amend the Constitution at any time as stated under Article Five:

By working for this FINAL AMENDMENT to the United States Constitution, there shall never be any need for any more because all the rest of what we need to do as a NATION can be decided By the People, From the People and For the People.

Debate: The American worker is the most productive worker on the planet. They have worked so hard and sacrificed so much over the last two hundred years to become the world’s number one greatest economy. This law would reward the people of America for a job well done. They would finally be able to enjoy life a little more, spend quality time with their families, recreate, have real leisure which is the goal of civilization since time began.

If left to Congress to pass such a law into being, Big Business, with their army of bribery officers would bribe every one they could find in office to defeat such a law, but on the ballot there is nothing they could do. Why not have such a life? Just as much could be accomplished in four days that is now accomplished in five for most people. Why not give the rest of the world a model for working and resting and enjoying life that would last as the standard for hundreds of years?

It was the unions through much strife and struggle got the country to live on a Five Day Work week. Why should you have to wait for another great movement with all the concurrent stresses on society to achieve this kind of social advancement? Why not let this type of decision be decided by the ordinary people, those who work for a living, instead of those who pretend to work in Washington?

Example #2: Any public Corporation domiciled in the United States who compensates any top executives with money and benefits totalling more than 10 Million Dollars annually, shall pay a Special Payroll Tax of $1.00 for Every Dollar paid or value of benefit received by executives and this money shall be deposited into the United States Social Security Retirement Fund and used to pay benefits to all Social Security recipients.  Any amount paid over 20 Million Annually shall pay a tax of $2.00 for every dollar paid in excess of 20 Million dollars per year.  Any amount paid above 30 Million annually shall pay a tax of $5.00 for ever One Dollar paid in excess of 30 Million annually.  Any amount paid above 40 Million per year shall pay a tax of $10 for every dollar paid in excess of 40 Million dollars annually.

Debate:  Thousands of C.E.O's of the largest public corporations and some private one receive in excess of 10 Million dollars per year.  This amount of money is achievable at the cost to the shareholders.  Therefore in order to preserve shareholder equity, and reward executives more in line with what they actually do, this law will limit incomes for the rich and famous to something far more acceptable.  If they are able to convince their boards to pay them above the 10 Million Per Year annual income, let that corporation explain to shareholders why their taxes are going up at an increasingly painful amount with each increase.

Example #3: A limit of One Billion Dollars allocated to the C.I.A. The actual budget of the Top-Secret intelligence agency is currently a secret, but since they can't keep a secret very well, everyone knows it's about Ten Billion Dollars per year and growing. The money allocated to it is a complete and total waste. Proof is the fact that they did nothing to stop the twenty amateur terrorists who were able to gain Passports under false names, driver’s licenses, and have access to Airports and even Airliner training courses.

When the head of the C.I.A., George Tenet, did finally receive information from his subordinates on August 23, just a few weeks, plenty of time to prevent the events of September Eleventh that Terrorists were planning to hijack Airliners and fly them into the World Trade Center, he tossed this information into the garbage.  He wasn’t even fired for this great malfeasance in office and instead was rewarded with a Million Dollar Pension and the nation's highest honor, the Medal of Freedom by the President of the United States.  Why spend this kind of money on a useless bureaucracy such as this?

Put this fact together with the fact that the first order of President of the United States immediately following September Eleventh was not to go and find the perpetrators but instead was to gather up all the relatives of Osama Bin Laden, the single most responsible party, and fly them under Government Escort out of the United States without even being questioned, and you have the essence of why your government needs to be changed drastically from the ground up. You impeached a President for authorizing a petty burglary into an office of the Watergate Hotel. Yet, for some reason, no one in government after these history changing events suggests even a hearing into why these two events are so suspicious and what they could imply. Instead, they appear to have successfully white washed it all up in commissions and reports by commissions created by the government itself. This is possible only because no one is heard, all dissent is blocked. Free Speech is gone. Freedom of assembly is gone. Freedom of the Press is gone. What precious Freedom will they take from you next?

This lack of interest and probing into the truth of such a serious matter is the greatest danger to your democracy, and not these misguided and murderous suicide bombers from the world’s most forsaken places.

By limiting the budget of the C.I.A. to One Billion dollars, you will A. Make this empty and useless bureaucracy do more with less and B. You dilute their power over you until such time as you can replace the culture of this bureaucracy with people you can trust. The massive budget of Ten Billion Dollars ore more is obviously wasted on bureaucratic bumbling and could be spent on much more productive projects.

The current Budget of the C.I.A. was blown up out of proportion and made a secret due to the Cold War and the necessity of not allowing the Soviet Union to know what we were doing to thwart their plans. The Cold War has ended and now you need a more streamlined intelligence force capable of finding the amateur little terrorists who using little more than cell phones and box cutters can bring your nation to its knees. Ten billion dollars per year is overkill to find, locate and neutralize people of this kind, if you rearrange your method of operations in how you gather intelligence and what you do with it once gained.

A good companion Initiative would be to abolish the present Pension Plans of all government workers and replace them with a Pension based on merit. When someone in service to the people accomplishes something, they should receive a commendation. Several of these commendations throughout their career should entitle them to a pension, and nothing less. No commendations should result in no pension. If you accomplish nothing throughout twenty or thirty years of your work, why should a person deserve to be rewarded by the people with a lifetime pension? It bears asking. How can the head of the C.I.A. justify his pension after he personally ignored the warning about an event that resulted in the death of thousands of Americans and crippled the American economy for decades?

It would be a different matter if he had taken this information to the Federal Aviation Administration, another office, just a few minutes drive from his own, had a few meetings to help them focus on ways of preventing airplane hijackings and hijackers from getting into the cockpits of planes. If he had just placed a phone call to the office down the street, his counterpart, the head of the F.B.I. and shared this information with this top cop, perhaps one of the millions of F.B.I. agents might have uncovered enough to prevent this from happening by finding these people and holding them for questioning. This is not asking too much. This is the sworn duty of these men.

Anything, even one meeting on the subject with another person or agency capable of preventing such a disaster might have entitled him to his Million-Dollar Retirement. This one man, so important in the overall scheme of things will receive millions of dollars from hard working Americans in his government pension and other benefits for doing absolutely nothing about the greatest crime in history of which he had knowledge beforehand. In doing nothing to prevent this tragedy, not even trying, doesn’t he deserve nothing? Can’t this same thing be said of the millions of government employees, quietly sitting at their desks, taking their paychecks every week, but actually accomplishing nothing?

And, when the President of the United States orders the quick and safe removal of all of Osama Bin Laden’s friends and relatives who were in the United States in government planes and with government escort from this country before they could be questioned, does this kind of behavior deserve re-election to the highest office in the land, indeed the world? These are facts that were made known to the people of the United States through the highly courageous acts of a few patriotic Americans, and yet they are somehow ignored. This kind of thing cannot continue if Freedom is to remain in this world. Take my word for it.

The Billions of Tax Dollars saved could much more effectively be spent on improving the nation’s schools, the roads, the hospitals, the transportation systems. Nothing is worse than wasting money on frivolous government bureaucracies that accomplish nothing for their own people. It’s the people, these agencies are set up to serve, not their own selfish interests. This focus on self-interest in government must be met with the ultimate weapon at every challenge, the power of the people to bring common sense back into their own system of governance.

Example #4: A Federal Tax Credit for anyone buying and using an automobile powered by a clean burning fuel, such as hydrogen, or no fuel at all such as an electric powered or human powered vehicle to get to work every day.

Debate: Oddly enough, there is no tax credit for the use of alternative vehicles and there sorely needs to be one to encourage the research and development into this field. This type of legislation would be easily and quickly passed as an initiative but as an act of Congress, it takes decades due to the influence of the oil companies and the automotive industry who like to keep things the same even at the cost of the health of their own planet.

Example #5: A Federal Law raising the limit of income that is taxed for Social Security taxes WITH NO UPWARD LIMIT of income taxed annually, thus solving the Social Security Cash Flow problems for all time.

Debate: THIS LAW would force the wealthiest of our INCOME EARNERS to pay their fair share to support the LOWEST INCOME EARNERS in their TIME OF GREATEST NEED, when they RETIRE.  The President of the United States tried to PRIVATIZE Social Security which would have put all of our RETIREMENT FUNDS at the hands of the Stock Market High Rollers.  They may get us more money for our retirement and they may not, no guarantees.  A National Retirement fund MUST NEVER GAMBLE with retirees money, therefore, it must never be PRIVATIZED.  We already have PRIVATE PROGRAMS like IRA's, 401K's and so forth, so the PRESIDENT really just wanted to SCRAP the best Social Program that was ever invented.  One that guarantees every American a decent and honorable retirement.  THIS ONE SOLUTION could be accomplished in ONE STROKE of the PEN, yet neither of the Two Parties wants you to KNOW how easy it is to SOLVE the SOCIAL SECURITY CRISIS, because THE MORE THEY CAN KEEP US CONFUSED, the MORE WE THINK WE NEED THEM

WHY SHOULDN'T SOMEONE EARNING OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR PAY A TINY BIT MORE to ensure that those of us NOT AS FORTUNATE as these very top wage earners can retire in DIGNITY.  It's to everyone's benefit.  DO THEY WANT TO SEE EVERYONE HOMELESS at retirement age?

Example #6: A Federal Law making it a FEDERAL Felony to PAY any money or give any financial benefit to any government official for any purpose, either to his personal funds or even any campaign funds.

Example #7: A Federal Law making it a Felony for any government official to lie to the public. 

The current general lack of trust of our elected officials is the most serious problem we face as a society because if we the people of these United States cannot trust our elected officials to tell us the truth about our situation, we might as well live in total anarchy.  In fact, the present system of having the system of lies in place by our government is worse than anarchy.  It is total dictatorship.  We just have not awakened to this stark reality as yet.

Only when the politicians know that their lies could land them in jail, the loss of their GOLDEN PENSIONS and stiff fines will they begin to behave properly by telling us the truth so that we can make the appropriate decisions based on fact and not just selfish interests of the rich and powerful.

They are lying when they tell you that Social Security must be scrapped.  They are lying when they tell you that you have to go to war, unless, they can produce real evidence of danger.  They are lying to you when they tell you that they are creating jobs when it is obvious they are exporting jobs.  They are lying to you when they tell you that they need to raise your taxes when in reality, all they have to do is cut the waste, fraud and abuse and live within their means as every American Household must do.

IN SHORT, you cannot have a REAL DEMOCRACY in AMERICA until you are allowed to vote on issues like THIS ONE and they are PROHIBITED from TELLING LIES. 

The First President Harold Walker Bush promised in his campaign that he would never raise taxes.  He even voiced the now famous 'READ MY LIPS' phrase.  Then, as soon as he got what he wanted, he raised taxes.

President NIXON was elected in a Landslide by Promising us that he had "A Secret Plan to end the Viet Nam War".  As soon as he got into office, he showed us his secret plan.  He extended the Immoral bombing of civilian Villages into CAMBODIA.  If it were a FELONY for Government Officials to lie to the American Public, perhaps NIXON, the worst leader in world history, would never have lied about his plan for the Viet Nam war and perhaps without this lie, he would not have been Elected President and disgraced this country the way he did.

President Clinton said, "I never had sex with that woman." on National Television.  Perhaps if it were a felony for a Government Official to lie to the public President Clinton may have thought twice about it and confessed, thus sparing us months of an impeachment hearing that wasted billions of US Tax Dollars.

And, President George W. Bush, lying must run in the family, lied when he said that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and that this presented a threat to our security, when he must have known, or at least should have known that this information was false.  The truth has surfaced now years later in the famous Downing Street Memo - FOUND HERE - in which the British Secret Service tells the world that President Bush was "Fixing the evidence to fit the policy already decided to attack Iraq."

Perhaps, if it were a Felony for Government Officials to lie to the Public we wouldn't now be quagmired now in the new Viet Nam War and we might actually have found the true enemy Osama Bin Laden and brought him to justice.  The Iraq War, since it diverted all of our resources away from Pakistan and Afghanistan, where it is thought that Osama Bin Laden is hiding, the war must be seen as a distraction and a diversion of our attention creating the suspicion that the President may be hiding something. 

In a REAL DEMOCRACY the people should have the final say about when to declare war.  This was obviously the intention of the Founding Fathers who gave Congress the SOLE POWER to declare war.  Over the years, however, the Congress has become a corrupt rubber stamp of party policies.

Example #8: A federal law requiring that Congress never pass any new legislation until and unless they have balanced the budget in any given year and that the government is taking in funds equal to or greater than the money that it is expending. The Congress shall pass no laws or reverse any laws until and unless the Federal Budget is in total balance for the current fiscal year.

Debate: The Federal Government currently is borrowing 1.2 Million Dollars Per Every second of every day, seven days per week. This is causing interest rates to rise and your economy to collapse slowly. Not enough jobs are not being created except for government jobs due to this financially bankrupt policy. The American family is suffering due to the bankrupt policy of borrowing money for spending that is non-essential.

This proposal would make it illegal for Congress to work on legislation that caused any expenses to the Taxpayers until and unless they had their budget in balance, meaning that they were spending no more than they are taking in. It would put an end to the current out of control federal borrowing which is mortgaging the future of this great country and placing unfair burdens on your children.

Perhaps a better proposal is to give jail time to any Congress person who acts in total disregard for the safety of this nation by allowing the government to go on borrowing as they are doing today. By either their actions or their inactions, they are committing gross negligence in office and another companion National Initiative might be to punish such activity by time in jail as well as financial fines.

The biggest culprit in all this is President Bush who took over the reigns of government with nearly a trillion dollars in surplus left over from President Clinton and immediately started cutting taxes and over spending to the point where you now have added trillions of dollars in debt during his administration.

He uses the excuse that the economy was on a downturn when he took over and that he had the attack on 9/11 which soured the economy. But, this was not the cause of his huge tax cuts which made the situation worse. He was the cause of that. It was his idea to cut taxes just at the time when the government needed more money. This is like the man who decides to max out his credit cards to live instead of going out to find a job.

The economy was still adding jobs by the millions at the time that he took office. Immediately after his taking the oath of office the corporations of this country started laying off millions of workers, exporting these high paying jobs to India, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and many other nations. Why did they wait for a Republican President to do this in such great numbers? I leave the answer to you.

A law requiring that Federal Budget be in balance at all times would have severely limited the amount of damage that this one man could have done. A companion National Initiative might be to make it a criminal offense for any corporation to begin exporting jobs to any foreign nation.

There could be an exception to this law allowing for federal borrowing during times of war or other emergencies. However, that exception should also be tied to a war or other emergency that is declared by Congress not by a single Commander-in-Chief (who incorrectly assumes that Iraq or any other nation might have weapons of mass destruction based on faulty intelligence.), thus putting the responsibility for paying back this war debt on Congress in future years when the war is over. As you now realize, it is very dangerous to give one man so much power over your financial affairs, especially one man who is not qualified to make decisions of such import.

Example #9: A Federal Law decriminalizing marijuana.

Debate: This proposal would not make marijuana legal but take away all criminal statutes that put people in jail or prison for smoking what amounts to a cigarette that is less harmful to one’s health than tobacco cigarettes, a proven scientific fact. Why spend billions in this country to jail the young people who mistakenly look for thrills in a weed. It is stupid, but hardly criminal. If you put people in jail for smoking this week, it is only logical that you put people in jail who drink alcohol. You lose millions of brain cells with every alcoholic drink you take. You lose none from smoking this weed.

Laws that are illogical and hypocritical make the general populace feel as if all laws are created to keep them down. They may be right until such a time when we all have a say in what laws should remain on the books. After all, this is what democracy is all about, is it not?

A bill to make marijuana legal and perhaps levies a tax of say one dollar per gram, would be enough money flowing into the coffers of the United States to balance the budget and take pressure off of other tax increases such as income tax or could even be put to use to provide a more secure social security funding.

Or, the taxes gained could be put toward a national health insurance system or better schools, clean mass transportation or whatever, but instead we spend billions to jail people who make these tiny mistakes in judgment. Certainly, it should always remain a crime to drive a motor vehicle under the influence of any drug. This initiative does nothing to change that.

A bill legalizing marijuana and placing a tax upon it for its use would also cut down significantly on serious crime since the distribution of this drug would be controlled, perhaps even sold by pharmacies who could then police age limits on it sale and control it in other ways.

A bill to legalize marijuana and tax it in this manner would probably not pass the electorate for some decades to come. However, a bill to decriminalize it, taking away the necessity to imprison anyone caught smoking the drug would and should pass since it makes absolute common sense at least during a time in history when you allow anyone to smoke tobacco. The logic is plain and clear. When people no longer need tobacco, they would no longer need this weed also.

You don’t put people in jail for stealing hundreds of billions of dollars from shareholders, so why would you need to imprison people for smoking a harmless weed that makes them feel slightly calm, composed, relaxed, entertained.

Side Note: Tobacco is legal, while marijuana is not legal is only due to the armies of bribery officers paid for by the tobacco industry and who have offices next to the Senate office and House of Representative office buildings in Washington D.C. It is in their interests to have no competing method of smoking or they would have to spend billions converting to the marijuana plant, something they have little knowledge of and they also know that anyone can grow a marijuana plant since they need little care, just a little water and light which would make this plant very difficult to control for their own industry.

Example #10: A Federal Law making it a felony to attempt to influence a member of Congress through the use of money or any financial gain.

Debate: This single National Initiative might actually give the United States more stability and greater chance of survival and having a real democracy lasting forever than any other single initiative because it would take away the power of the special interests. It may not be the last such attempt at this because these people are clever and they will find other ways to pay for the legislation they want. But, at least it’s a start.

You would still need several ballot measures per year, even if Congress were doing an honest job simply because they are not as motivated, as clever or as capable as are the citizens of these United States to find creative, logical, common sense and inexpensive solutions to problems at hand.

History has shown that Congress takes so long to solve national problems that they most often allow them to mushroom into the crisis stage before any real action is taken and often by that time, it’s too late to solve the same problem inexpensively and in a common sense approach. Compromise has become the trademark of this institution because it’s the only way they can finally get things done. And too often their principles get compromised in this manner and the resulting legislation is worthless. Too often, you are forced to spend billions on a problem that could have been solved with a few hundred thousand dollars of taxpayers money, such as the current threat of terror in this country.

You currently spend billions on defending against an attack of the same kind that destroyed the World Trade Center. They will not come at you in this way again, so this money is wasted and has acted against you as it has caused many millions of delays and frustrations in society. In this way, the terrorists did far more damage to your country than they could have done without your present Congress.

A more logical way to handle this problem would have been to find those who were responsible and put them in jail or kill them if they resisted arrest. People who plan and execute the mass murder of living things do not deserve the life I have given them. They have become less than animals. They have become Satan’s work. There is only one thing to do with vermin such as these. This is the time tested method of ending the evil demons such as these and it works, quickly, efficiently and discourages this sort of thing from happening again. Instead, your leaders took the defensive mode of trying to overhaul everything in society in such a way to make it impossible for evil to happen again in exactly this way. But, there will always be ways for evil people to come at you and they are not stupid. They can devise new ways. This is proven in history, time and again. The only method that is sure to prevent this kind of heinous attack is to find the root cause of the attack and eliminate them. You started out trying to find and punish them and then you were put onto a different path that punished the wrong suspects. Why? Surely, this kind of mistake is no accident? And all they have accomplished is to give you a false sense of security. When these people get their hands on a nuclear weapon, which they will eventually, they will not have any problems delivering it to your shores and they are surely not going to try and check it in with carry-on luggage.

Compare these examples of initiatives by the people to the stumble-bum leadership you enjoy today. There is no comparison with quality of democracy and there is no limit on the quality of life issues that you can improve with every ballot. You are in control of your democracy and you are the ones who must suffer their decisions. Isn’t it time, you made some of your own? Ordinary people, who average only a typical American High School education couldn’t do any worse than these people you have sent in trust to Washington D.C. and who have proven continually they will only break that trust, don’t you realize that?
