I’m not making this up folks.
Today word has come out about a book that Scott McClellan is publishing wherein he admits that he and President Bush lied to the American people about the reasons for going to War in Iraq, what I call the Bush Phony War, or “B.P.W” for short.
McClellan says that President Bush, Carl Rove and the other White House insiders made up the flimsiest excuses and when people outside the Administration tried to point out the truth, the Bush Insiders rallied round and denied them all.
Well, we knew that Bush Lied, no reason to buy this book really, but what is even more troubling to me is that McClellan also reports how the media was just sucking up to Bush and printing every bit of Propaganda and reselling it to the American People without any questions. I remember those press conferences and I was appalled at how there were no hard-ball questions of the President. We just accepted everything he was saying as Gospel, even though they often got details wrong, events that they mentioned turned out to be faked, like the sale of Uranium through the country of “Niger”. I could go on and on with all the faked evidence and yet the media printed these stories on page 13 when they should have been HEADLINES like: “The President is CAUGHT IN ANOTHER LIE.”
The media should have been trumpeting the inconsistencies and the apparent lies before we went to war, not now, not after we’ve let over 4,000 of our best troops go to their death ignominously, saving us from nothing. Over 400,000 grievously wounded so that we will have to take care of them for the rest of their lives instead of them being productive tax-paying citizens, we’re going to have a Welfare boom of historic proportions taking care of these poor Veterans of the “B.P.W.”
More troubling still is why the Democrats have not as yet had the balls to impeach Bush for lying to the American People. They knew he was lying when he was lying. They had C.I.A. reports telling them that Bush was making it all up. Yet, there has been no credible charge, except for Senator Conyers to Impeach the President. Maybe this book will be enough EVIDENCE on the TABLE of Bush’s “High Crimes and Misdemeanors”. This is the level of criminality that is required for Impeachment. They impeached President Clinton for lying to us about his sexual escapades. But that lie didn’t measure up to “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” that would have forced Clinton out of office in disgrace and so they lost that Impeachment battle.
But, when a President is caught red-handed by the C.I.A., evidence and testimony now in the public record about how he lied about the reasons to waste thousands of our young heroic soldier’s lives, and trillions of our hard earned dollars, that to me measures up as a “High Crime and Misdemeanor” that may stick and force him out of office early.
Some will say that he’s already a lame duck, let him remain in office until January when he is likely to be replaced by a Democrat. But, we need to set an example for all future Presidents. The example we set with President Nixon was not enough apparently, because the Republicans are still trying their best to turn this country into a Nazi prisoner of war camp. They want us all in Concentration Camps waiting for our turn to go to the Gas Chambers. This should be evident to all of us by now. They don’t care about DEMOCRACY and OUR FREEDOMS and our LIBERTIES. They just care about their own survival in a world made more and more tough to live in, more and more desperate by them.
It’s time we abolished the Republican Party. Nixon lied about the War in Viet Nam. They didn’t have the goods on him for that crime, but we did have the goods on him for Watergate, so he was impeached. Reagan lied about trading weapons to Terrorists in return for hostages. He should have been impeached for lying to us about that. Instead the Republicans have enshrined him the same way that the Communists have enshrined Lenin in Lenin Square. Instead of being buried in a coffin as Lenin is buried, Reagan is buried inside a Boeing 747, a replica of Air Force One. This man was not a hero. He was a liar who got elected by claiming he would make government shrink in size, and instead, like all Republicans he did the opposite of his campaign promise and he INCREASED THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT over 10 TIMES to where it is now a huge juggernaut of bureaucrats screwing over other bureaucrats to get a pay raise and a bigger Retirement Plan. The bureaucrats at the top of the pig pile, the Senators and Congressmen and women who allow it all to unfold.
There is a pattern here of deceit and trickery and manipulation of the American People. What Bush has done to us is only the natural progression of a gang of crooks gone wild. They have been given the keys to the cookie store and they are running around PILLAGING and RAPING this country. They steal from us in every way they can steal from us. They allow their corporate friends to rip off the consumer to TRILLIONS of DOLLARS in UNEARNED SALARIES and BONUSES and then they lay off half the workers of this country because the same looted corporations cannot compete in the world market. This is how they are destroying our economy and our nation.
The REPUBLICAN ELEPHANTS are LOOTERS and Traitors far worse and more harmful to us than any band of Terrorists could ever be and they should be treated as such.
Thank You Scott McClellan for giving us the expert testimony that now allows us to Impeach President Bush and maybe even Abolish the Republican Party. The main reason to impeach Bush is not to get him out of office a few months early, although that could save us hundreds of billions of dollars they will not be able to loot from us.
The main reason to impeach Bush and put some of his cronies in jail for looting this nation is so that they may never recover and may lose all their supporters and may even fade from history sooner rather than later. We need the impeachment process now so that no Republican can be elected to office and the John McCain Presidency, Bush’s 3rd Term, be made impossible.
We cannot take a chance that the Democratic candidate may stumble as they often do and the American People turn to a Republican again. With impeachment proceedings going on all summer in Congress, it would be impossible for McCain to gain any credibility since he has ENDORSED the BUSH LIES so many times and in so many ways in public.
But, I know, I am dreaming again. Congress would much prefer their normal PAID VACATION than to have to work over the summer, so this dream of impeachment of this criminal President is probably not going to take place.
But, I can dream, can’t I?
I’m also dreaming about Real Democracy in America, a day when these types of terrible man-made catastrophes can never happen to us again.
Let’s get him into the Witness stand this summer so that it will be
