I’m not making this up folks.
The Republicans and the Democrats also are so much into War that they forget about how they must lead us in Peace and to Peace. We WASTE enough GASOLINE and JET FUEL in our Wars and Preparation for War that would easily free up millions of barrels of crude oil everyday. Oil that would be available for PEACEFUL uses, but because of our constant wars and preparations for wars, the world is running out of oil.
Two thousand years ago, the Roman Empire experienced the same problem and when they continually spent more and more of their treasure for WAR, they eventually spent themselves into bankruptcy. No new public buildings were erected. No new public projects were formed and soon even money to keep the farms going was gone to war. The Roman Empire collapsed in one or two invasions of Barbarians, who had nothing at the time. They were very much like Al Queda today. They had a few thousand people willing to die for their cause. They had enough food and resources to march into Rome and slaughter the civilians just sitting in their living rooms waiting for the slaughter.
They didn’t have TV’s in those days, but if they did, I’m sure all the Roman citizens during the Barbarian invasion would be sitting in front of their Television sets watching ‘The View’ while they the Barbarians burst into their homes and put them all to the sword, every man, woman and child.
Where was the Roman Empires great armies when Rome was conquered? They were stationed way out in the outlying regions of what is now Great Britain, France, Germany, North Africa, Israel, defending their Empire from enemies who had simply gone for the heart of the Empire instead of fighting them where they positioned their armies. It was the most classic end-around maneuver the world has ever seen, until today.
Today, our nuclear missiles, costing us hundreds of billions of our treasure are sitting today in silos all over this country and in Europe aiming their massive world-destroying power at Russia who has just as many of these weapons of mass destruction pointed at us. We have thousands of Navy ships far out in the South China Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Seas all protecting us from a navy that does not exist anywhere in the world. Each ship burns TWO TONS of fuel per hour cruising the oceans and giving our sailors wonderful paid vacations.
We have hundreds of thousands of our troops driving around Iraq in vehicles that do not protect them properly from the home-made bombs produced by very desperate and hateful people in this country who want to see us go home. Our troops carry around millions of US Dollars of taxpayer money and they hand it out to anyone who carries a gun bribing them to put down their guns. These very clever people, put their guns down, take our money and then go and buy new and better guns with some of the millions of dollars we just gave them days earlier. So, in this and many ways, we are funding our enemies around the world.
Meanwhile the floods are putting tens of thousands of home owners out onto the streets. Fires are forcing the evacuation of tens of thousands more Americans destroying pristine and very wonderful woodlands we can’t afford to lose. Tornadoes are blowing down town after town after town all over the Midwest. The East Coast is having unusual and fierce storms and flooding. Hurricanes are abnormally strong and wreak havoc in city after American city. Towns and cities are going bankrupt under the strain of having to cope with one disaster after another.
Where is our Army, National Guard, Marines, Air Forces who could greatly alleviate all this pain? They’re stuck in a hell-hole called Iraq because ONE MAN, George W. Bush stubbornly keeps them there while his nation is being invaded by the BARBARIAN INVASION of Natural Disasters, CAUSED MAINLY BY GLOBAL WARMING helped along by THE TERRIBLE WASTE OF FUEL to keep our TROOPS driving around from one bomb to the other and our Air Planes in the air over there, when they all could be OVER HERE, dropping water on the FIRES and placing SAND BAGS and FIXING LEVIES BEFORE all the damage is done.
WE SORELY NEED TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY LESS of an EMPIRE with a foolish and incompetent Emperor sitting in his throne in Washington and MORE of a REAL DEMOCRACY where the PEOPLE themselves can DECIDE HOW and WHEN to SPEND OUR GREATEST RESOURCES.
NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURES ARE OUR ONLY HOPE. LET’S LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE.
Don’t vote until you can VOTE for SOME THING, not just SOME BODY. They lie through their stupid grins.
If you love your country, you will spend just a few minutes of each day from now until the election doing your best to counter the millions of dollars McCain will spend on his Propaganda swill.
