US AUTOMAKERS Must CREATE ELECTRIFIED ROADS, CARS and TRUCKS

This will end the outflow of capital to foreign nations and it will STIMULATE the creation of MILLIONS OF JOBS, in all sectors and all localities, because all roads in this country are outdated and they all connect
each of us to each other. 

MY CONCEPT is to USE the CURRENT BAIL OUT MONEY that DETROIT IS REQUESTING to force them to adapt ELECTRIC MOTORS into the cars that they manufacture currently.  This would save the AUTO INDUSTRY and save the jobs that would be lost if we do anything else. 

The DETROIT AUTOMAKERS TORE DOWN THE ELECTRIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IN THE 40’s and 50’s and now it’s time for them to PUT IT ALL BACK! MY PLAN is to force them to produce the ELECTRIC CARS of the

FUTURE, and the GOVERNMENT simultaneously provides the ROADS for them to run on and this ELIMINATES the only bottleneck in this technology - BATTERIES.

MASS TRANSIT IS NOT THE ANSWER because we all want personal transport and there’s nothing wrong with that if the personal transport doesn’t pollute the air others breathe or the water that others drink.

So, here is a PICTURE of the FUTURE and it can start happening now.  As Detroit Automakers are forced to produce more and more electric cars, other industries will pop up all over the country that support them.  That’s how you grow your way out of a DEEP recession.  What the AUTOMAKERS TORE ASSUNDER, MAKE THEM RESTORE TO

THIS COUNTRY starting now to save the country, save their jobs, save the economy.

We can easily and quickly ADAPT the DIAMOND LANES to propel vehicles of Electric Propulsion DESIGNED and MANUFACTURED FOR US BY DETROIT.  Drivers steer their cars onto the Diamond Lanes, possibly renamed, Electric Diamond Lanes specifically for more than one occupant in any car as is currently the standard, but also including CARS and TRUCKS that have the equipment installed to TAKE UP the
ELECTRICITY from the overhead lines.

DETROIT will eventually be mass producing the same technology that they BOUGHT OUT and then TRASHED in the form of busses that were run in this manner because they wanted to make HUGE PROFITS in producing personal vehicles.  But TODAY in producing personal vehicles along this same technology, they can not only survive, but make HUGE PROFITS AGAIN, maintain their high-paying Union Jobs and REVERSE GLOBAL WARMING all at the same time.

This is the basic personal CAR DESIGN of the future.   It is technology that has been proven over many millions of miles and is still in use in many cities, albeit on a smaller scale than by going nationally over all of the country’s highways and freeways as I envision here.  BY GRADUALLY CONVERTING all the cars and trucks in this country to this kind of propulsion system, we solve ALL the COUNTRIES PROBLEMS at ONCE. We save jobs, CREATE MILLIONS MORE and they are good jobs.

THUS, we save the ECONOMY and we SAVE THE PLANET. 

A HUGE SAVINGS in terms of less pollution and an AFFORDABLE PRICE FOR TRANSPORTED GOODS will also be achieved by CONVERTING THE NATION’S FLEET OF TRUCKS, which can barely make a profit today given today’s high oil prices and these high oil prices are coming back as soon as the global recession comes to an end. 

Since most of us drive the majority of our miles on a Freeway or Highway to get to and from work, the Batteries of the electric cars are not fully discharged, and in fact, are RECHARGED DURING THEIR transit, thus extending the range to range that rivals gasoline cars.

Later, as the GRID of STREETS and ROADS in the cities are all upgraded to include the Electric Diamond lanes, batteries are used less and less until they finally disappear from cars and trucks or are used only in ancillary roles as they are now.

This SYSTEM allows the vehicle powered by electric motors to receive enough electricity to flow along the freeway or road until such a time that the vehicle disengages with the electric overhead delivery system.   When, they leave the Electric Diamond Lanes, electric vehicles are forced to use their battery power, but being given a full charge from the Electric Diamond Lane, their range is almost infinite.  They can take side streets now to get to their offices and back to the Electric Diamond lanes for a full recharge on the way home and so the cycle begins again the next morning.  

As more and more electric vehicles are built and sold, the investment in the Electric Diamond lanes are more and more cost-effective to the point in a few years, when they more than pay for themselves and actually start to produce revenues through the sale of their electricity to cars, trucks and also homes and businesses in the area.

HOW DO THESE ROADS PRODUCE ELECTRICITY?

Additionally Power to the Grid can be provided or augmented by the Installation of Solar Panels above the Diamond Lanes thus producing electricity into the grid to supply the electric cars below with sufficient energy to move along the road.

Note that the overhead Electrical Delivery System NOW has Solar Panels installed above the Roadway.  Since all Roadways in this country have A SOUTHERN EXPOSURE that is normally unobstructed, the SOLAR ENERGY PRODUCED in this zone of HIGHWAYS is enough to power all the cars that ride on these Electric Diamond Lanes, and later, when enough of them are installed along with the Major Efficiency Improvements in Solar Arrays that are now IN THE PIPELINE, the energy produced will have EXCESS ELECTRICITY that is then sold to the PUBLIC through their access to the GRID.

BOTH INPUT and OUTPUT, production of electricity from the SUN and transmission of the electricity to the CARS and TRANSMISSION of excess power to homes and Industry in the area is highly effective because the distance traveled is practically ZERO. 

One of the major problems with our current infrastructure is the LOSS of the Electromotive force due to resistance over distances from the PRODUCTION AREAS of the Electricity, DAMS, NUCLEAR PLANTS, COAL FIRED PLANTS, etc. to the cities where the consumers are concentrated.

IN THIS PLAN, the electrical production and consumption is contiguous, there is practically no losses of energy which adds up to great cost savings to the economy.  Many millions of JOBS will be created and very technical jobs that cannot be outsourced as we begin to build out this system. We will need engineering of the highest caliber, installation equipment and other infrastructure upgrades and connections that will stimulate millions of small businesses to meet the demand.

Initially, Detroit must be forced to produce a Hybrid Car and Truck because Rome wasn’t built in a day and we need to keep their factory lines running for the next several months, while the system of the future is being designed and engineered.

THEY CAN and MUST DO BOTH at the same time. I hope you can see that the gradual shift to this Electric Diamond Lane System above will be a smooth one because the vehicles that are produced INITIALLY CAN BE ADAPTED to full electric propulsion by the same companies who will have the items necessary in their inventory to meet the demand that will come as we build out the Electric Diamond Lanes.

The hybrid cars and trucks they can produce TODAY, are easily adapted to FULL Electric Propulsion by the simple removal of the gasoline engine at a later date and the UPGRADE to a larger Electric Motor, very inexpensively, and improved batteries. 

This is a successful model that the computer industry has adopted that allows the consumer of Computer Equipment to upgrade their CPU, their Monitor, their Printers, etc. without having to throw away an entire computer system.  The same concept applies here where the consumer will gladly upgrade at the right intervals, further stimulating the economy and keeping it growing and improving steadily.

THINK OF IT AS THE INTERNET ON WHEELS.

The Internet of HIGHWAYS and BYWAYS in this country are dating back to cave man times. 
They sorely need a huge revamping and gradually swapping them out to be CLEAN, QUIET, and EARTH FRIENDLY is my idea of a GOOD THING for everyone concerned, even the Auto Industry, which has taken us down the literally the WRONG ROAD for decades.

ALL that has to be done is a trip to the local dealer where he installs the ATTENUATED ARM or POLE  you see in the diagram to the vehicle that the power already has.  It is also possible that at the same time, UPGRADED or LIGHTER BATTERY PACKS can be swapped out of the first fleet of HYBRID CARS and TRUCKS at little or no expense to the consumer so that he has the incentives to make this change to his vehicle. Government subsidies may be used to further incentivize the consumer to continue upgrading his vehicle and gradually the new system is in full use.

THIS PLAN when it comes to fruition would eventually mean that no FOREIGN OIL will need to be imported and eventually, even domestic production of OIL will be eliminated, but that is a longer term goal.   It will take decades to reach the point in our economy where OIL is no longer used, but it can and must come.

The TIMING IS PERFECT to announce this concept when Congress Meets in early December to grant them a hearing about the money they need to say afloat.  IF THEY DON’T WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CONVERT THIS NATION’S TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM TO ELECTRICITY WE CAN FIND SOMEONE ELSE WHO WILL.

CONGRESS asked them for a plan in order to get their money.

HERE IT IS ON A SILVER PLATTER.

Electrified Roads like this have been around for over a century.

China is experimenting with a new form of electric bus that runs without powerlines. This bus runs on power stored in large onboard supercapicitors, which are quickly recharged at bus stops. Prototypes are being used in Shanghai since early 2005.

WE HAVE TO GO THEM ONE BETTER.  IF THE UNITED STATES DOESN’T ADOPT this clean, efficient, renewable ENERGY SOURCE to RE-BUILD our Transportation Infrastructure of this nation especially at this POINT when our AUTO INDUSTRY IS FAILING and on the verge of BANKRUPTCY - THEN THERE IS NO HOPE FOR US and we no longer deserve to be called a SUPER POWER.

Therefore, it is essential to save our Auto Manufacturing Base and the thousands of other smaller Industries that support it.   So, I’m for giving them the Financing to SURVIVE, HOWEVER, they have not acted responsibly by crushing the First Generation Electric Cars, by Buying up and then destroying all the ELECTRIC BUS and TROLLEY TRACKS in this country.  So, they have to get the WORD and that WORD is BACK TO THE FUTURE.  Let’s all help this country GET BACK TO THE FUTURE.
